A Successful 2015 :)

It has been a fantastic end to the year filled with productivity, progress, new experiences,  adventures, growth and positivity. From hosting business consulting sessions, to running seminars, taking part in performances, creating and choreographing a performance team, refining systems and procedures at the Australian Martial Arts Academy,  to running motivational school talks, to playing Deadpool on stage, i couldn’t of asked for a more diverse yet exciting end to the year.

My role as a managing director at the Australian Martial Arts Academy has enabled me to truly grow and develop and continually pursue improvement and innovation both for the academy and for the Martial Arts Industry. As a result of the Academy’s success i have been fortunate enough to be invited to run Business Consuting/Staff Development Sessions at respective Martial Arts School. I have truly enjoyed taking on a mentoring role in the schools because i am able to receive immediate feedback from the systems i have put in place. A new and enjoyable endeavour i am looking to further pursue into 2016.

Another fun project i was involved in was in the Cross Promotion of Captain America on the Disney Channel. Below is the clip. Good times with the Disney Crew!  Check it out

Motivational School Talks, Bully Buster & Stranger Danger Programs. Id like to thank Liverpool Boys High School and St Paul of the cross primary school for inviting me out to their locations. At LBHS  i had a chat about raising our personal standards, making effective use of the resources available to us and selecting our peers carefully. I had a blast working with the kids and showing them a few techniques. I hope they are able to take away a few steps & methods from my presentation and incorporate that into the their day to day lives. At SPOTC i spoke about Bully Busting & Stranger Awareness. A fun and rewarding experience for me.

I had a fantastic time conducting my Extreme Kicks Seminar Program at Infinite Taekwondo Academy. It was my 3rd visit to their school and it was very pleasing to see the improvement in the students of the academy. Their focus, dedication & hard work is definitely coming to fruition. A new location i was invited to conduct the seminar for was the University of Western Sydney Taekwondo Students. We had a blast!

A personal project i have decided to undertake this year was to develop a Junior X-Treme Team. A group of determined young kids who are willing to push the boundaries and continue to provide a positive representation of Martial Arts, through various mediums and platforms via entertainment and performances. And boy have they been in high demand. They have already performed for the Sydney Kings at the Sydney Entertainment Centre, Lunar New year Performances at Market City, Marrickville Festival, Dulwich Hill Festival, Summer Hill Fair, Alex Park Fair and Birthday Parties. I can’t wait to see what 2016 has in store for them!

Id like to congratulate all our Members at the Australian Martial Arts Academy who achieved the coveted Black Belt, or progressed in their Beyond Black Belt System. Achieving this goal is a fantastic endeavour, and witnessing the journey of each member, from their humble beginnings as white belt, to the ultimate black belt is surely one of the highlights of being a head instructor at AMA.

Below is a highlight clip of some of my recent training. Enjoy!

And a recent visit to Bali. Including some surfing footage!

Until Next year!
